Fair of Jageshwari Devi

This fair held annually in Chanderi is believed to be more than a thousand years old. The story goes that the ruler of Chanderi, a great devotee of Jageshwari Devi, contracted leprosy. The Devi commanded him to meet her at a particular spot after an interval of 15 days. The impatient king ran to it on the third day itself. Though he was cured of leprosy he could not see more than the goddess’ face. Since that day a fair or mela dedicated to the goddess is held here. This festival is organizing in last around 60 year. This function is start to put the flag in the Ma jageshwari  mandir . this function is organizing in the name of Ma jageshwari devi mandir, this is the symbol of the well come .In the middle of the local festival Navdurga  gangor is celebrate .this is the part of this festival. This festival is enjoy and celebrate by the local people to much. In the middle of this festival  Gangor are celebrate in this function number of villager and town people are participate .
In this festival number of shopkeeper come from outside the town and sell and buy the number of things . in this festival around fifty villager are participated in the selling and buying animal and other important thing those are important in daily life . In this festival people are also purchasing the
Cloths and agriculture relative instrument . In this festival most of the people come here  to see the local  dance like “Raee” and “Gangore”.

Hazrat makhdoom shah valayat  ursh shreef

Astana is located near Parmeshwar Pond and entered on the Rajhat Chanderi road. Urs are celebrated in this Dargah every year between 27th to 29th of March when 1000s of devotees flock in celebration to offer chadars and pray for the fulfillment of their wishes.

This is the official function. this function is going on around 133 year. This function is organizing in 27,28 and 29 March  in every year.  Peoples of any religion are participating in this function. Now present days this function is celebrate like a festival and it is converted into a festival .In the late night culture music sons are sing by the people . In this function the national famous singer are participate.
This all this music function is called “Kabally” .
This festival is the symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity.

Local universal dance (raee )

It is very famous dance in Chanderi and near around Chanderi villages .  I n this dance most of the people are like to enjoy and they are felling proved .
Raee is one type of group dance in this dance one or two ladies dancer play the dance in this group dance. It is more famous as compare to other local dance.
This dance is organize in night in this dance one lady dancer those are play the dance is call the “Bedhni” . In this dance mans are use the lamps (Masal) use for the purpose of light . In this dance men are creating one round and lady dancer dance in the round .
Men are plays the some instrument things like a drams and other instrument.

Lady dancer also sing the songs (local songs) and dance with the men . Lady dancer sing and dancer hole night. Generally this dance organized in most happy moment (festivals).
Another local dancei is very famous in Chaderi there local people called the “dhimrayai” it is once importance in the
local culture . In this dance people make group and play the dance and sing the local songs . In this dance men are wears ladies costumes and dancing in various positions. This dance is like the most of the peoples
